Townsville is a wonderful tourist destination for all ages. For the children, there’s an amazing water park at the Strand, right on the beach, allowing them to play safely while the adults sit under the shady palm trees and relax. For the older ones, a day trip to Magnetic Island is a must! Rent a paddle boat, Rent some Jet Ski’s, go for a swim in one of the amazing beaches, or just relax at one of the resorts available. From mini-mokes to scooters, transportation on Magnetic Island is easy, and fun!
For day trips, Paluma is an absolute must. Paluma village is settled at the top of the Paluma Range, a cool, tropical rainforest mountain approximately 50 minutes out of Townsville. Take a stroll on one of the many rainforest walks available, or relax in the local restaurant for a nice lunch outside.
